In the end, we spent about four hours at west coast and the -entire- time, He kept the dark clouds back. They were visible in a distance but they never got nearer and not a speck of rain fell upon our heads. Not only that, despite not havign found a bike rental, because charles cycled to west coast, I got to learn how to cycle!! All grace I say. So everything seemingly ruined to everything good.
Then wanted to head to town to eat at Fish&co glasshouse, but by the time we reached[which was around 8++] it was pretty full and there was a queue, so we were pretty dejected about it. [okay, some of us were at least] At that point, elaine remembered about Manhatten Fish Market at PS and said she ahd heard it was comparable to Fish&co. It happened that i heard it was cheaper, so we were like, k, just go there then.
Turned out there was a pretty long queue and being a pretty big bunch of people [around 7-9] it was expected that we would take pretty long to get in. Yet the time taken was amazingly short!! And~ the prices were lower!! Not only that, the food we had was superb, surpassing fish&co's standard. We also got to sing-a-long birthday songs for two celebrations at other tables, just for fun. Yet, we were blessed with a quarter of a fantastic chocolatey cake from breadtalk courtesy of one of the tables. Woah pretty unexpected.
The entire time was punctuated with much laughter about jem's water drinking habit [i have a feeling his cup was refilled for more than 10 times], not to mention our server[julia's] reaction to the frequent refills. She was simply fantastic, helping us take photos, cracking jokes, cheering up the table with her fantastic service. Like woah, good service, reasonable prices and mouth-watering food despite not having what we wanted at first. Simply blessed.
And that's not all. When we were sorting out the bill, like whom had to pay what amount, Julia seemed surprised that we were counting in 15% and just offered us 10% discount! When we didn't even ask for it! Simply undeserved favour, just so full of the conciousness of His blessings =D So in the end, most of us paid abt $11.50 for such a great meal and time? Very worthwhile if you ask me. And I even had -exact- change. Totally AWESOME. Even more so because He directed us away from our original choice and instead gave us much more and above. Isn't it amazing??
Had a wonderful time on the train back too [we even got a lift from charles' parents part of the way!]. Fellowshipping with kenneth about various issues in life, like family and etc. Haha, so glad for all the people that God has placed into my life, coz they're all such strong relationships that just help to build me, support me and help me through out my walk with Him. So so blessed and loved. Will blog soon about yesterday, which was equally if not -more- edifying and blessed than today. So many things happening in my life now and I thought it was goign to be boring. How wrong He has proven me to be, much to my elation =D tata for now^^
