so a short summary of the two months, had chinese O's, got second pair of earholes to mom's consternation, grandma and aunt moved in, so seven people under the same roof now, slacking in work, still walking down the road of faiths and figuring my way around, friend suggesting of another friend liking me therefore i'm cutting relations, handed over for both ccas and feeling really weird w/o mrc stuff to bustle around. Other than the above, everything's generally the same.
Went for career talks on thursday and friday, have to say that it was interesting. The talk on psychiatry ignited my long buried interest in psychology but it is a road I am unwilling to take, due mostly to my lack of determination and finances. The second one was multi-career options and to be serious, I went in not knowing what it was about and came out pretty much the same. the speaker was interesting though, had stints in UN, studied goodness knows how much, now is a lecturer in a msian university. Well, he's smart I have to admit but really seems to affirm my opinion that wealthy people are generally smarter, I mean, how many msian parents can send their kid to an american university at the tender age of 15? One thing stuck in my head though, that I really ought to cultivate the passion he has for stuff that he does and that some people have the most unexpected background, like a president whose first dream was to be a bodyguard.
a note, no one in my batch except for me plan to go into engineering(at least not the mechanical aspect), well, or rather, the people who attended the talk, which was quite a substantial number.
