Since i haven't posted in such a long while, shall just do a long one now =D Came back from hc cca leadership camp at ubin yesterday, pretty fun.
Day 1:
Have to say that it didn't start off on a great note, like dreary morning, late night chionging stuff, so it was super tiring to just go for a camp that no one really wanted to go for =S most of the people in my group were generally acquintances, so kinda unsure as to how we could work together. Also heard from other seniors that it was like those np camp, super drilling kind, so dreaded it a little considering my fitness level.
the tents weren't bashas, praise Lord, so everything was done really easily =D on general it was pretty slack till lunch, where even the food was better than canteen food [big surprise~]Had rock climbing and abseiling following that, rockclimbing was like normal, just that I didn't get a chance to climb coz of lack of time, but abseiling's pretty cool, wanna go again^^ oh, but we had so much slack time that it was msotly spent watching the guys climb intermediate wall, of which few managed to reach the top, really killer.
Night walk was supposed to be solo but they placed the girls into pairs, so i got joanne =D tkd mate!! Hahaz. Ended up talking the whole way, so didn't really get bothered >.< spent the whole time saying lame jokes and playing games w/ group, after which by the time we reached base -all- the girls were goners [quote christine: there's a guy!-in a really enthu voice] Oh, i havent mntioned that their toilets are really decent, like strong shower and proper curtains, though the earthquake-like toilet bowls still give all of us a scare >.<
Had supper where we just talked over the day w/ leon[instructor]. Realised then that our group was really~ quiet and 'unbonded'. It was also during that that kai ling got stung, which lead to terrible consequences over the next two days :'( Get well soon k girl? Felt so bored and awake after suppser that i ended up calling friend to talk crap, along the way becoming a feast for mosquitoes and sandflies. Only got back into the tent after 12 coz call got cut off. following which couldn't sleep till 2+ due to wonderful insects in the tent, have the bites to prove it =S
Day 2:
It rained in the early morning, like 4+? Got woken up by all the girls scarmbling about in the tent [5 of us in total] took in our shoes before it shortly poured. however, our tent seemed as though it might collapse and leaked =( and since i was at the side, the flood reached me first, the amount of water that entered was abdomitable, quoting christine: we're in the pond! couldn't really sleep due to lack of space, sorry to joanne whom i woke up >.< ended up getting up early to slack and become mosquito food. Only then did we realise the guys didn't take in their shoes due to laziness, tsk tsk.
Had leap of faith in the morning, we were supposed to stand on a pole and jump for the trapeze bar. Got two attempts but just couldn't get a good grip of the bar to hold on =( but everyone else did a great job! -pat on the back- Then went on to high wall, where our team nearly beat the record of 3 min! We could have beaten them if we tied the shirts properly, but nvm, we rock! =D
Lunch then Ubin Hunt! Was I/c for it, felt like the organization was terrible, sorry~ went round ubin to find answers and again, get insect bites. By teh time we set out, everyone was so stoned that we didn't even cheer, so the whole morale was kinda gone, quite sad... But~ we still completed our tasks, took in the scenery on puaka hill, enjoyed refreshing coconut juice and savoured the biscuits that jin rui bought =D Oh, must say, he's really an uber good actor, faked injury until super zai, all of us just fell for it, got so worried. Colin even said, wah~ our group quite chiam, 3 casualties. [he was dizzy from dehydration, kai ling from sting: didn't come along and jinrui from 'knee injury'] But it was during then that it could be seen that we cared for each other in times of difficulties. So proud of all of you =D Just to clear the air, 'injury' idea came from leon. Hehz, just to spice up the trail.
Did campfire item prep, wash up, dinner and finally~ Campfire! had a who's hot comp, where yeowch won. Quite um... disturbing actually, the way he presented himself, but at least he was daring enough to do so and must applaud him for not being afraid of standing in front of the crowd. But~ kai ling! you'll always be the hottest! =D group then did an item on banana's in pjs. the funny parts were really thanks to calvin and jin rui, whom did smacking good jobs! Got postive feedback from the instructors about it, yay! Strip banana, poke banana, lick banana, suck banana! Bra-bra-bra-bra vo~ Had some chilling time after campfire, some dance time, during which everyone was generally quite sian, until daryl got us into a circle and started breaking, then the whole atmosphere went up^^ go you! Everyone had so much fun then, just dancing to music and joanne ah~ so havoc. Hehe, that was what leon said =p
After that had facilitation/supper. Got quite a bad evaluation actually, of which I cannot really refute because I kinda agree >.< Shall endavour to be less of a killer. Ended up sleeping the entire night away, so song4! Oh, stars on ubin look really good, esp on a clear night =D
Day 3:
Last day :( for some reason, it didn't strike as so. Did teamtanic, where we palyed games for materials to build our raft w/. Can't say that the raft was successful, we even landed up swimming and dragging the raft along. BUT we still came in first/second, super hilarious. cheered alot by the sides after we got out of the water, like otehr groups were cheering most stable and we were cheering best swimmers =D But our cheers rock! i dont give a damn cheer, fight kill cheer, let me see your body move cheer and lotsa otehr stuff. quite a couple were vulgar but super fun to do and diao the other groups back^^ Think we just cheered till the other groups couldn't say anything back. w00t.
Played stress game while waiting for the boat to fetch us back to mainland. Ended up screaming so much that i lost my voice -red face- now i sound so sexy~ In the boat super hyper, kept laughing and running around, led in cheers =D so hyper. Back at the jetty, daryl also super hyper, kept cheering like mad. Actually, the whole trip, really must thank Leon for placing in so much effort, as he said, he could have just taken his stuff and left us but he didn't. So thank you so much!! Despite me knowing you prob won't be reading this, but heck =D Thanks for tolerating us, quietness, stubborness, insanity and all :) Oh, for the morsels of great wisdom too. Enlightening~
Went for dinner after that with some of Bravo members, half of the time ended up laughing so hard that we couldn't eat. Madness. Now having probs coz of sunburnt skin, warm water = torture. So thank all of you [colin, daryl, luxin, kailing, ziyang, christine, sharan, calvin, jin rui, joanne and chee yen] for the fun memories, it'll always be a good thing to look back upon.

Feel so blessed by the Lord! Went for care group today, had quite a couple of revalations, enriched my knowledge of Him and~ my voice got better! Just over the session, healed by His stripes I tell you. So happy. Oh, we got another hwachongian in the group now! -rejoices- coolios, now i shall grab more friends to church. Oh yeah! Marcus is coming ncc tmr! w00t. -jumps in joy- haha, yay!
