Firstly...gloria and guowei!! I'm so glad you guys came for campus and the dinner, hope you guys recieved bread for your season in life^^ the service itself was really amazing despite it being short. It's like what they say about quantity not mattering, but the quality being the crux. What really struck me was when he talked about Joseph and how he walked in the blessings that God bestowed on Him, for he had God's favour, that was why everything he did prospered. -Even- his MISTAKES. This also corresponds to what Psalms 1:3 says that 'Whatsoever he does will prosper.' This is the result of mediating on the law of the Lord, who IS Christ Jesus. Joseph was a picture of a man who walked in God's blessings and favour, not only that, he also knew that the blessings and achievements were not due to Potiphar, when he ran away from Potiphar's wife, he said how could he sin against God? He knew that his blessings were because of God's favour on him and nothing more. Joseph is proof of how a man prospering in everything can exist.
Also, Joseph wasn't only prospering in the spiritual world, because Potiphar, who was not a man of God, could see him succeeding in everything he did. So for all of you out there, God prospers you in ALL aspects, for the world will see His power at work in your life, so just let Him take over and delight in His presence and Word =D My goodness, there is so much more that the sermon has, but can't figure a way of how to get the entire thing here >.< So for the others, ask me if you wanna know more =)
Realised that the world's really small, coz charles knows gloria's close friend and some new people joined our caregroup of which some also knew my friends. The world is small^^ Even on the train back, it was pretty supernatural, heard people carolling on the mrt. Guowei was drawn by the singing while I was drawn by how cool they were, coz it reminded me distinctly of codeRED. Approached and talked to them for a while, before most of them got off along the way, leaving albert with us[jurong-ers!!]. Turned out he knew jia from ac, were from the same class. -And- he knows kong and kenneth too! Heh, the world's too small i tell you. He was really well-learned, was able to clarify our confusion about how protestants, anglicans and methodists differed. Also about all the practices and discrepancies that catholism has, learned so much from him, spent about half an hour at the interchange alone talking, lol.
Really astonishing how He just plans your day? Like I wouldn't have approached them if guowei wasn't with me and he wouldn't have been game with appraoching strangers if they weren't carolling. They're the first people I've met who carolled on the train too! God really plans everything out so thoughtfully, for one, guowei wouldn't have been with me if I hadn't been led to invite him to campus today^^ Oh yeah~ gloria, hope you like the cd =D
